Geoff Wiggs is a 3rd career attorney. In addition to his Juris Doctor (JD), his background includes service in the United States Air Force, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA).
United States Air Force – Airborne Vietnamese Cryptologic Linguist
Geoff served eight years of active duty in the United States Air Force as a Vietnamese Cryptologic Linguist. After undergoing training he spent several years in Okinawa, Japan as well as duty stations in Omaha, Nebraska and Fort Meade, Maryland. In 1992, Geoff served in Operation Desert Storm in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia flying aboard the AWACS Command and Control aircraft.
Computer Consultancy – Orcas Technologies, Inc.
For nearly 20 years, Geoff ran his own computer consultancy, Orcas Technologies, Inc. Orcas Technologies focused on customization and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for wholesale food distribution operations.
He has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University with a focus in Strategic Implementation.
Master in Business Administration
While running his own business, he found time to pursue his Master’s in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. He focused in Strategic Implementation. After receiving his MBA, he worked for two years as a management consultant through his computer consultancy.
He operated as an independent management consultant for two years prior to deciding to go to law school.
Law Practice
While in law school, Geoff concentrated on Consumer, Bankruptcy and Start-Up Law.
Geoff was an Associate of the Santa Clara High Tech Law Journal and served as the Online Managing Editor.
While in law school he volunteered as a clerk in the Chambers of the Honorable Arthur Weissbrodt, United States Bankruptcy Judge, in the San Jose division of the Northern California Bankruptcy Court. He graduated from Santa Clara University with a Juris Doctor in May, 2009.
For family reasons he was unable to sit for the bar exam until February of 2011.
Immediately after passing the bar, he opened his solo practice. Today, he focuses his practice on bankruptcy and consumer law as well as general civil law.
